It was a great honour to be asked to present this homage to the late, great Judith Kerr at Bath Children’s Literature Festival this weekend!

Judith Kerr (1923-2019) is best known as the writer and illustrator of such well-loved picture books as The Tiger Who Came to Tea, but for this celebration event I was also able to share the fascinating story of her early life as a Jewish refugee from Hitler’s Germany. We re-enacted her most famous tale, read the rhythmical One Night In The Zoo and featured Judith’s new book, The Curse of the School Rabbit, posthumously released by her longtime publisher, HarperCollins.

I’d like to thank Bath Festivals for inviting me and for managing such a lovely production, HarperCollins for their support, and the wonderful and responsive audience of children and adults who joined in with the storytelling and activities.
